The Spirit, Spiritual Realm, and Her Offsprings Part I

Leviticus 20:27 NKJV

27 ‘A man or a woman who is a medium, or who has familiar spirits, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones. Their blood shall be upon them.’”

The Bible IS NOT a book ABOUT PRAYER, although it’s filled with prayers.

The Bible IS NOT a book ABOUT CHRISTIANITY, although it has Christianity within it.

The Bible IS NOT a book ABOUT SIN, although it addresses sin.

The Bible IS NOT a book ABOUT MONEY…

The Bible IS a book ABOUT A KING & HIS KINGDOM.

The GOSPEL is the REDEMPTIVE STORY of The KING’s Children BACK to HIS KINGDOMthrough HIS son CHRIST JESUS by the testimony of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 6:33).

Desired Learning Objective:

  1. What are the TWO realms of existence?
  2. What are the FOUR senses of the spirit? What does each spiritual sense provide?

QUESTION #1: What are the TWO realms of existence?

DEFINITION OF TERMS:

REVIEWThe Christ, Revelation/Apocalypse, Holy and Sin?

What does the Bible mean when it says: EarthWorld, and Prayer?

Acts 19:11–20 (NKJV)

Miracles Glorify Christ

11 Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. 13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” 14 Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.

15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”

16 Then the man in whom the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 17 This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus, and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. 18 And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. 19 Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.

Before we begin to prosecute the terms “mediums, familiar spirits, demons, etc.” let’s first begin by understanding the difference between the physical and the spiritual, the material and the immaterial, reality and the manifestation of reality… or roots and their branches.

The Bible teaches the existence of an immaterial, spiritual reality, unseen by human eyes. Our physical reality is evident for all to see—although some doubt the existence of a material universe, too! The Bible says that the spiritual realm consists of both the divine—God and the holy angels—and the demonic—the devil and his demons.

But even then, there’s a realm, reality that these two forces exist and that reality/realm is called the “spiritual realm”. The Bible tells us that “faith is the substance [reality] of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1 NKJV).

Hebrews 11:1–3 (NKJV)

By Faith We Understand

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

DISCUSSION: What does the ‘substance/reality of things’ hoped for mean? And the ‘evidence of things’ not seen mean?

The Bible also says, “We don’t focus on the things that can be seen but on the things that can’t be seen. The things that can be seen don’t last, but the things that can’t be seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18 Common English Bible (CEB)).

BIBLICAL LOGIC: Life is SPIRITUAL*

2 Corinthians 4:16–18 (NKJV)

Seeing the Invisible

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

According to the Bible, there are TWO realms/plains of reality.

Physical Realm: animate and inanimate objects, mortal, anything that your FIVE natural senses can detect/experience (taste, touch, see, smell, and hear).

**Soulish Realm: connects the physical to the spiritual; the medium between the visible and the invisible; comprised of THREE things, your mind (intellect, memories, creativity), willpower (ability to perform/work*), and emotions*.

Spiritual Realm: where ALL LIFE and consciousness begins, eternal, everything that your FOUR spiritual senses can detect/experience (NOT the gifts of the spirit… but the SPIRIT). The spiritual realm is like a wilderness and every mortal requires a guide; in our case, the Holy Spirit is our guide; for others, it’s demons.

ANSWER #1: According to scripture, the TWO realms of existence are the physical/visible, and the spiritual/invisible. The physical realm is a mere derivative of the spiritual and plays victim to everything that happens in the spiritual. The spiritual realm controls everything within the physical realm. Everything that’s in the physical is mortal, while everything that’s in the spiritual is eternal. To those that are wise, they will invest, bargain, trade, negotiate, create, destroy, and function in the spiritual first and foremost before engaging in the physical.

QUESTION #2: What are the FOUR senses of the spirit? What does each spiritual sense provide?

1 Samuel 3:7 (NKJV)

(Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor was the word of the Lord yet revealed to him.)

Numbers 11:29 NLV (New Life Version)

29 But Moses replied, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit upon them all!”

John 3:1–12 (NKJV)

Christ Witnesses to Nicodemus

3 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?”

10 Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

1 Corinthians 2:11 (NKJV)

11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

BIBLICAL LOGIC: GOD’s Spirit is GOD’s answer, and GOD’s answer is GOD’s Spirit

  1. The KNOWING* of revelation**: not studied/researched but uncovered & given by GOD; ~70-80% of GOD’s non-cognitive communication is given through knowings (John 13:1–5) it is not intrusive and can easily despised (1 Kings 18:44)**
    1. When I shake people’s hands, and I ask certain questions; it’s not because I don’t know the answer; I want to know what the Spirit has to say about them
    2. MANY hands I shake, immediately, I know who’s my friend or foe, witch or possessed, honest or lying; my responsibility is not to change the situation with the knowing unless GOD permits me. I apply intelligence immediately based on that knowing. You DO NOT have to be actively praying for this sense to activate, but it’s MORE sensitive once you’ve come from the place of prayer and fasting. Living a fasted life (where you fast more days than you eat during the week, month, and year) is the most effective way to stay alert to knowing. You can accurately prosecute your calling in ministry functioning with ONLY this spiritual sense alone, and be deemed righteous by Heaven; ALL WITHOUT HAVING SPIRITUAL GIFTS; just having the spirit and exercising this sense of knowing of revelation by growing large in your spirit with long prayers, intermittent prayers, night prayers and living a fasted life.
    3. I am not teaching scripture because Mrs. Taiwo Kemi asks me of my availability to do so; I KNOW that I was called by GOD to continuously teach scripture and to pray, it was revealed to me by HIM (not someone prophesying over me)… so I force my life to fit around my calling, not the other way around; that said, what do you KNOW?

Mark 5:27–34 (NKJV)

27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”

31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”

32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

John 13:1–5 (NKJV)

Christ Washes the Disciples’ Feet

13 Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him, Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands and that He had come from God and was going to Godrose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

1 Kings 18:41–44 (NKJV)

The Drought Ends

41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain. 42 So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, 43 and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.”

So he went up and looked, and said, There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.”

44 Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’ ”

  1. The sense of TOUCH: this is NOT a physical touch. This is not a soulish exercise; of empathy. This is a supernatural experience; where GOD allows you to “experience” what someone else feels, what The Spirit is doing** (those that will operate in power* gifts MUST first become familiar with the spiritual TOUCH of the Spirit). When you intercede for others, and your heart is open, you WILL begin to “TOUCH” them in the spirit. EVERY genuine intercessor has experienced this in one measure or another. You will “feel” what they’re feeling, you will experience what they have experienced, you will feel what GOD is feeling**… and you will KNOW that what you’re feeling is not your own. Most times, this spiritual sense is more sensitive in spiritual women than spiritual men. This sense CAN ONLY be accessed in the place of prayer; if you’re not actively praying and you sense something, it’s not the sense of TOUCH! You can TOUCH GOD and know if you TOUCHED HIS power, healing, wisdom, prophecy, or love. When you TOUCH something from GOD, coupled with a knowing of revelation; your responsibility is to prosecute that TOUCH and press into it. If it’s a word of knowledge, ask for wisdom; if it’s a command, ask for grace; if it’s a sensation/sickness, ask for healing. Always press deeper into the spirit; don’t be a victim but become a WITNESS of HIS power.

There are other times when you can TOUCH the judgment and vengeance of GOD and HE can borrow your tongue to KILL! That said, what have you TOUCHED or what has TOUCHED you?!

    1. You MUST become an astute student of the Holy Spirit and your spiritual walk if you’re going to be effectively used by GOD.
    2. When I pray, an angel visits me and he chronicles my prayer points, and then takes them to heaven. He is the one who tells me what to pray, who to pray for, how to pray when to pray, and for how long to pray. I don’t see him, I’m able to TOUCH him and know what GOD wants.
    3. GOD does not have favorites; GOD ONLY has intimates.
    4. When you sleep, and you wake up, and you have a worship song playing/singing in your heart, that was you TOUCHING the joy of the LORD (Nehemiah 8:10). If you are wise, you will hitch your heart to that melody, no matter the song, and begin singing it out loud and monitor what happens to you. If you frequently listen to unholy, fowl, profane music; you are training your spirit to intercept and touch the feelings of demons; that’s why you can listen to soul/R&B/rap/emo-music/heavy metal and feel depressed, promiscuous, angry… you have TOUCHED the spirits that inspired that music

Mark 5:27–34 (NKJV)

27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothesI shall be made well.”

Jeremiah 1:9 (NKJV)

Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me:

Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

Daniel 10:14–19 (NKJV)

14 Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”

15 When he had spoken such words to me, I turned my face toward the ground and became speechless. 16 And suddenly, one having the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips; then I opened my mouth and spoke, saying to him who stood before me, “My lord, because of the vision my sorrows have overwhelmed me, and I have retained no strength. 17 For how can this servant of my lord talk with you, my lord? As for me, no strength remains in me now, nor is any breath left in me.”

18 Then again, the one having the likeness of a man touched me and strengthened me19 And he said, “O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!”

So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

  1. The SIGHT* of affection: the way GOD, the Father, expresses HIS love, it’s by showing us the divine secrets of Heaven. When you begin to see (dreams, visions, trances**) the will of GOD concerning anything; it is a definite sign that Adonai both approves of you and loves you. That said, if you do not receive spiritual secrets about the agenda of Adonai, it doesn’t mean you’re not saved; rather you’re too spiritually young/small/weak* to handle weightier matters; only sons and daughters are qualified to receive inheritances, the same principle applies to the spiritual realm. Only sons and daughters of the Kingdom who perpetually seek Adonai receive classified matters (secrets) of Heaven and the latest protocols that GOD is implementing, in and out of season.

John 5:20 (NKJV)

20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.

Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV)

‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Proverbs 24:10 (NKJV)

10 If you faint in the day of adversity,

Your strength is small.

DISCUSSION: What is the purpose of prayer?

  1. The HEARING of faith: the substance (the intended will/desire of the Father) of things hoped for, the evidence (visions, dreams, trances, impartations, prophecies) of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). All this “evidence” will come with “audio”. The audio and the ability to hear the voice of GOD and/or HIS messengers are a key difference between you and Satan. In the demonic, evil agents can “see, peep/whisper, monitor and intercept” (Numbers 22:9-12; Isaiah 8:19) what GOD gives you but they cannot HEAR Adonai’s desires for what HE wants manifest. In the New Covenant church, there’s a singular ear in the spiritual realm, an ear to ONLY hear the secrets/desires** of Adonai.

Matthew 11:11–15 (NKJV)

11 “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist, but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. 13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. 14 And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come. 15 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Revelation 2:25–29 (NKJV)

25 But hold fast what you have till I come. 26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—

27 ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron;

They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels

as I also have received from My Father; 28 and I will give him the morning star.

29 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’

ANSWER #2: According to scripture, the FOUR senses of the spirit are: (1) The knowing of revelation; (2) the sense of touch; (3) the sight of affection, and (4) the hearing of faith. And for each spiritual sense, the knowing of revelation is given to you by GOD and is not steamed from the cognitive. ~70-80% of GOD’s non-cognitive communication is given through knowing. The sense of touch allows the intercessor to experience what GOD is experiencing, or someone else, spiritually. While in the act of prayer, the intercessor can take or receive spiritual experiences by knowing what they have experienced. The sight of affection is how GOD expresses HIS love to HIS children through showing them divine secrets from Heaven. Only sons and daughters of the Kingdom who perpetually seek Adonai receive classified matters (secrets) of Heaven and the latest protocols that GOD is implementing, in and out of season. And finally, the HEARING of faith is the audible voice of GOD about what Adonai desires and wants manifest on earth.
