DIGGING DEEP NO. 997 August 08, 2023 THE HAND OF GOD

Let’s explore the biblical concept of “the hand of God” and its significance.

What is the hand of God? What does it mean when His hand is on you? What is the touch of God’s hand? What does it mean to be in God’s hands? The hand signifies His acceptance and or His protection.

The truth is that when God’s hand is with you, Omg it shows you things you wouldn’t normally see. In the beginning, we see the powerful hand of God that laid the foundation of the earth. Isaiah 48:13. So it all depends on how we look at it, it can be good or it can be bad!!!

Let’s begin with the story of Jabez   1^st Chronicles 4:9-10

He asked God to let His hand be with him. In His hand, nothing can take you out except you.  God’s hand is a hand of rescue, protection, strength, power, and much more. Jabez knew this and had faith that his prayer would be answered and it was.

The strong hand of God is surrounding us daily, so when you ask or decree it shows up. In the case of David and Goliath, It’s what you say to God’s ear that He will do. 1st Samuel 17:32-54 David’s courage and utterances brought God’s hand upon him to destroy the enemy tormenting the Israelites.

God’s hand can also make a way just as in the case of Moses, During the parting at the Red Sea, God’s hand delivered the Israelites from the pursuing Egyptian army. Exodus 14: 21-22

God’s hand can save In the case of Daniel, they planned to kill him but the hand of God shut the lion’s mouth. Dan 6:22 Trusting God’s hand brings peace, because he knew the hand of God was on him.

The hand of God can raise the dead and give it life. The hand of God came upon Ezekiel and told him to speak to the dry bones and every dry bone came to life Ezekiel 37: 1-14 and also in the case of Lazarus John 11 The hand of God is what brought him back.

God’s healing hand Mark 1:40-42 The man with leprosy, and in Luke 4:40 Jesus healing all kinds of sickness thru laying of hands. Jesus healing ministry shows God’s compassionate and restoring hand

God’s hand can provide, Psalm 145:15-16. He can make you a solution to your generation. When His hand is on you, it makes things easier for you

The hand of God transforms life like in the case of Joseph from prison to palace because God’s hand was on him.

God’s hand is always present Psalm 139:7-10 We cannot hide from him, His hand is always with us regardless of our circumstances

The hand of God saves. Jesus said into your hands I commit my spirit Luke 23:48 We were saved by His death on the cross, the gift of God.
