MEMORY VERSE –
“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and
heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22
LESSON TEXT – Leviticus 26: 3-6, 9-12
INTRODUCTION
In the previous lesson, we reviewed the potentials locked within a seed and touched on some types of good seed. In this lesson, we will focus on how to unlock the potentials of a seed. We will also look into harvest destroyers. The natural order instituted by God is that after seedtime comes the harvest. However, it is one thing to sow and reap a harvest, yet it is another thing to enjoy a harvest. In this lesson, we will consider how to preserve the harvest. What are the things that could hinder us from entering into our harvest, even after sowing a seed? What is the guarantee of enjoying the fruits of such harvest after entering into harvest? We hope to provide answers to these questions at the end of this lesson.
LESSON OUTLINES
A. UNLOCKING THE POTENTIALS OF A SEED
B. HARVEST DESTROYERS
UNLOCKINGTHE POTENTIALS OF A SEED
It is one thing to understand the potential of a seed, yet it is another thing to unlock that potential. If unlocked, a potential remains just that, mere potential, no actual tangible harvests. Some ways of unlocking the potentials of a seed include the following:
Do not eat ALL your seed – Retain some portion of your previous harvest as seed to be replanted. A seed eaten is a future harvest lost. Wisdom is required to set aside some portion of your previous harvest as a seed, and some portion as food; Gen. 47: 24;, 2 Cor. 9: 10
Sow your seed – The reproduction and multiplication potentials of a seed cannot be harnessed except the seed is planted in a good soil and undergoes death. Do not hold on to your seed, plant it. Harvest should only be expected after seedtime; Jn. 12: 24; Gen. 26: 12; Gen. 8: 22.
Sow on a good soil – A good soil is one that is under an open heaven. Such soil is watered by rain from above and is continually moist. Moisture is one of the right conditions under which for a sown seed grows, resulting in a harvest. What are the causes of closed heaven? Joel 2: 23-24; Haggai 1: 9-11.
Do not grow weary in seed sowing – Make sowing a lifestyle; Eccl. 11: 6; Ps. 126: 5-6; Gal. 6: 9-10
CONCLUSION
Seedtime and Harvest are seasons backed by God’s integrity as long as the earth remains. Key into this knowledge and see your life take a new turn around for the better.
