DIGGING DEEP NO. 883 – MAY 18, 2021 2Kings 5:1-14 |
● It is very important to know that Jehovah can be whatever we “need” Him to be,
a Healer, Deliverer, Protector, Provider, Peace etc…. as His will pleases.
● Who is inclined to write his prescription?
– Man of valour who knew that his success had to be the mercies, grace, and favor God had shown him. 2Kings 5:1
– Is he who thinks he has it all together and wants God to recognize his status and affluence.. 2Kings 5:9 & 12
● How do we write our own prescription?
– We act in contempt when we come to God with authoritative instructions as to how He should do things for us as if we made Him God. 2Kings 5:11 It is okay to come to God with our supplication. Phi 4:6 Please note the word “supplication” is to plead humbly or respectful appeal to higher power or authority.
– We listened to and followed the instructions of man to the tee. 2Kings 5:5 and completely disregard or forget that He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think Eph 3:20
● Why should we not write our own prescription?
– His thoughts are not our thoughts neither His way our ways Isa 55:8-9
– His thoughts towards us is all we need Jer 29:11 and we can take it to the bank any day. Isa 55:11
● What will happen when we rely on His prescription?
– He will restore and make us whole 2Kings 5: 14
– He will give us victory without breaking a sweat. Jdgs 7: 17-22, Josh 6:1-5
● In conclusion
– He is The Alpha & Omega period….!!! Isaiah 46:9-10
– He writes the end before the beginning.
– God will never contradict Himself. Numbers 23:19
His name is Jehovah He will do what He says He will do
